Markdown toolbar and smart lists

The toolbar above the editor writes the Markdown for you, and lists continue themselves.

The toolbar

The buttons wrap the selection or toggle the marker at the start of the line:

• Headings 1–3 (Ctrl+1 … Ctrl+3), bold (Ctrl+B), italic (Ctrl+I), strikethrough and highlight
• Inline code (Ctrl+`), code block, quote and horizontal rule
• Bulleted list (Ctrl+L), numbered list and checklist (Ctrl+Shift+L)
• Link (Ctrl+K), image, table
• Today's date, the current time and a generated table of contents

Smart lists

Press Enter at the end of a list item and the next marker appears — bullets, numbers and checkboxes alike. Press it on an empty item to end the list. Tab and Shift+Tab indent and outdent the current line.
